Streams, woodland and vast opens spaces are all within the local vicinity.

There are numerous places to walk around the area of Tall Trees if you wish to avoid the town.

If you wish explore, the closest market town is Bourne with ancient woodland, museum and cafes on the doorstep.

Further afield, Grimsthorpe Castle is open for visitors in the summer months where you can cycle, picnic, visit the castle and gardens including an adventure playground alongside various fairs and shows which are held from time to time.

Grimsthorpe Estate Shooting Ground is open for clay pigeon shooting lessons and has numerous sporting stands where you can practice with friends enjoying lunch afterwards in the bar and restaurant.

Stamford is a great place to visit with its famous Georgian architecture and many independent shops, galleries, cafes and bars.

Burghley House, home of Burghley Horse Trials is a beautiful stately home surrounded by magnificent parkland and offers so much.

At Tallington Lakes you can kayak, paddleboard, windsurf, waterski and take to the dry ski slope amongst other things.

Rutland Water is one of the largest manmade lakes in Europe and has mountain biking, climbing, sailing and fly-fishing with many other activities.

The Hub is a wonderful gallery in the heart of Sleaford with The Mill close by also deserving a visit.
